Walk, Talk, & Integrate™ is an experiential, outdoors-based therapy option that blends the benefits of movement, nature, somatic awareness, and traditional talk therapy. Instead of meeting solely in an office or through a screen, we take your session outdoors—to a local park, trail, or beach—walking at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

This approach is especially supportive for individuals who feel calmer, more open, or less overwhelmed when moving their bodies or being in nature.

Why Walk, Talk, & Integrate?

Many clients find that when the body moves, the mind can soften. Outdoor sessions naturally support:
    - Emotional processing
    - Mind–body connection
    - Nervous system regulation
    - Reduced stress and rumination
    - Increased openness and self-awareness
    - A sense of spaciousness and grounding

Movement and fresh air can make difficult conversations feel more accessible and create a sense of flow that’s harder to achieve inside four walls.


The Integrate Component:

Where most walk-and-talk approaches focus only on talking while walking, Walk, Talk, & Integrate™ brings in a deeper layer of healing: embodied therapeutic practice.

During sessions, you may be invited to practice somatic or mindfulness-based skills with real-time support, such as:
    - Grounding exercises
    - Breathwork
    - Orienting and sensory awareness
    - Nervous system regulation practices
    - Mindful walking
    - Containment or resourcing techniques
    - EMDR-derived somatic skills (non-processing based)
    - Body-based coping skills you can use outside of therapy

These skills help you learn not just what to do when dysregulated or overwhelmed—but how to practice them with support so they become more accessible in everyday life.

You always have the option to alternate between outdoor, office-based, and telehealth sessions depending on comfort, energy, and clinical needs.

Because sessions occur outdoors, privacy may be limited. We choose quiet areas to protect confidentiality and can pause conversations at any time. Walk, Talk, & Integrate™ is not appropriate during crisis episodes or situations requiring a controlled, private setting.
